Mandarin Oriental Group from Mexico Riviera Maya to the Americas
The St. Kitts Mandarin is among the 21 hotels and 18 properties in the pipeline, as the Mandarin Oriental group is embarking on an unprecedented level of growth in the next three years, especially in the Americas. Mandarin Oriental, who just opened its first Mexico property this year in Maya Koba Riviera Maya Yucatan , will also look to expand their portfolio in that region with Costa Rica, Grand Cayman, and St. Kitts. Last year, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel announced in New York and St. Kitts its intention to establish a luxury hotel resort in St. Kitts and Nevis which it expects will become its flagship resort in the Caribbean. 
Firesky Ventures, Auberge Resorts and Kiawah Development Partners unveiled a comprehensive tourism development program for the Southeast Peninsula, that would launch the Federation to the forefront of the high-end, luxury sector of the Caribbean tourism market. Currently, the Mandarin has holdings in San Francisco, New York, Miami and Washington, but in the next three years the Mandarin Oriental will look to opening hotels in Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas and even Dallas.

The hotel, which will be classed in the 5-star grand luxury category, will be located in the centre of the resort. It will be composed of several buildings which have been designed in harmony with the natural surroundings. The bedrooms have been arranged in such a way so that spectacular views of the marina and the sea can be enjoyed throughout. The Campeche Playa Golf Marina & SPA Resort hotel complex boasts a 500 metre beachfront where the view of breathtaking sunsets will render you speechless. The surrounding spaces will be joined to the hotel by a boulevard with an exuberant vegetation and water décor that conceals large terraces, tropical gardens and swimming pools. he hotel will be divided into two areas: the service area, which will have a "palapa" type construction, and where our guests will enjoy water gardens, restaurants, theatre, shopping area, disco and events rooms. This part of the complex also offers several swimming pools, one of which will be integrated into the beach. On the other hand, the accommodation area will be placed in a privileged part of the resort, between the beach and the marina. The buildings will be divided into 4 units which have been designed to re-interpret certain Mayan architectural features, represented by the pyramid shapes at the ends of the units. The finishing touch will be added with the surrounding autochthonous gardens in order to blend them in with the natural environment. Strong colours, the use of which is very typical of Mexican colonial cities, such as the historical centre of Campeche City, have been used to add a distinctive style to the area.
