Mexican Pacific by Cruise, come aboard,
Pullmantur will start sailing from Acapulco on May 10 with a 47,000-ton vessel called the Pacific Dream, Cruise Industry News has learned.

The ship will carry 1,900 passengers, which will in turn bring nearly 60,000 passengers to the port in 2009. The Dream will be doing approximately 30 sailings between May and December.
As for specifically what ship the Pacific Dream is, both Pullmantur's Sky Wonder and Island Star are roughly the same tonnage and passenger capacity (based on maximum capacity) as the Pacific Dream, and their itinerary plans have yet to be officially announced.
The seven-day Acapulco cruises will begin in late June, and call at Ixtapa (Zihuatanejo), Manzanillo (where she will also embark passengers), Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas. There will be nearly 50 cruises through May 2010.

Troncones, La Barra de Potosí, Ixtapa & Zihuatanejo, Mexico are located on La Costa Grande of the state of Guerrero fronting the Pacific Ocean about 240 kilometers (144 miles) northwest of Acapulco. Both Acapulco and Morelia are about 4 hours driving time from Zihuatanejo.
Zihuatanejo is the actual town with family-run guest inns, luxury boutique hotels, condominiums, and vacation lodgings that overlook the bay and beaches as well as the homes, neighborhoods, apartments, stores, shops, and businesses that make up its thriving community.

Ixtapa is a government-planned vacation resort area. The hotels and condominiums in Ixtapa along the main beach are mostly high-rises. Troncones is a small beachfront community of fishermen and farmers with many beachfront vacation homes, bungalows and guest inns located about 37 kilometers (22 miles) to the north.
Barra de Potosí, Playa Larga and Playa Blanca form a 15-kilometer (9 miles) stretch of beach to the south of Zihuatanejo, Mexico near the Aeropuerto Internacional de Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa.
