Sol Caribe is a casual, elegant, eco-friendly beachfront resort with only 4 guest cabanas. (cabañas Tulum )
Each cabana has at least two double beds, a private bathroom with shower, including hot and cold running water, and 24-hour electricity.
Each cabana also has a shaded stone terrace with table, chairs and a hammock to relax in, just footsteps from the Caribbean Sea.
There are two small cabanas, each with two double beds, comfortably sleeping 2-4 people.
There are also two larger cabana rooms, each with two double beds and two twin beds, which sleep a maximum of 6 people, making them ideal for families with children or larger groups.
(With adequate lead time, it is possible to book the whole resort for special occasions, to a maximum of 20 people).
Towels, linens and beach towels are all provided, as is maid service.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the beachfront restaurant & bar.
Special dietary requests and meal preferences can be honored if made at the time of reservation.
Fresh seafood is plentiful as Punta Allen, our local fishing village, is just 5 miles south. The white sandy beach at Sol Caribe is the widest on this stretch of the coastal road south of Boca Paila, and one usually has it all to oneself for miles around… the ultimate in relaxation, privacy and tranquility.
The lovingly tended tropical landscape around the cabanas blends naturally into the dense jungle of the Sian Ka'an that surrounds.

Located in the coastline of the Akumal region, snorkeling in this inlet will allow us to experience a halocline, the natural phenomenon in which the fresh water coming from the underground rivers mixes with the ocean waters. In addition, we will delight in watching exotic birds and marine species for which this inlet serves as their refuge and nesting site. We went on the Mayan Adventure tour offered in the pamphlets in the hotel. My husband and myself and our 4 teens all enjoyed the day. You get picked up at your hotel and driven to Yal Kul lagoon for the first snorkel. This is an underground river joining the ocean. Saw Turtles and a Barracuta. Quite a swim out to the reef though so we wre moving alot and I would have preferred to have had more time in the lagoon with the colourful fish.
the next place was a cenote cave and that was exciting. Just an open cave, no tunnels or anything too scary. Beautiful! Last was an open cenote and the ritual sacrifice of jumping 35 feet into the lake. Well I used the stairs.... Lunch included and it was a great day.
