Riviera Maya and Cancun assist to Cultour 2009 Fair Exhibition Conference trade Show
On Wednesday and Thursday (April 15 & 16, 2009), from 10:00 to 17:30 hours, CULTOUR is open to professional visitors only. No seminars or any other activities are held during these hours.
Pre-arranged meetings between exhibitors and hosted buyers are set up in advance.
Other professional visitors –non-hosted buyers– may pre-register or register on-site to attend CULTOUR, meeting exhibitors at their own will or request appointments.
CULTOUR is run as a serious, professional trade mart, where entertainment and food and beverage will only be allowed in the stands at specific hours: from 12:00 to 14:00 hours and from 17:00 to 17:30 hours only.
CULTOUR is a two days global travel trade exhibition for professionals only, directed specifically to the cultural and heritage travel niche market.
The two days of exhibition are open only to professionals, as a market place, where worldwide venues and travel and tourism related service providers can meet with product development managers of tour operating companies –wholesalers– and travel agencies producing and promoting cultural and heritage travel related programs, sold either directly to the consumer or via retail travel agencies.
These product development buyers are from major markets: Germany, the rest of Europe, the USA, Japan, China…
 
CULTOUR will be held at the Maritim Hotel in the Düsseldorf International Airport, next to the end entrance of Terminal C
Cultural and Heritage travel is a highly rated sector of tourism because:
         1. The huge size of market sources, such as the USA, Japan, China, Europe and more.
         2. For its high profitability -second only to business travel-
         3. For its worldwide growth rate.
Cultural and Heritage travel comprises any kind of travel composed of pre-arranged tours such as:
City breaks, archaeology, cities of art, historic venues, cultural events, aboriginal/indigenous culture, city or regional festivals, religious events, religious pilgrimage, music festivals or concerts, dance, theatre, musical shows, museums, cellar visits, gastronomy, ethnic festivals, natural sciences tours, sport events, scientific cruises, folkloric events…
Cultural and Heritage travel is not necessarily seasonal and when is organized by tour operators and travel agencies it is a high expenditure travel and, therefore, a profitable one. In the USA is rated third after business and resort travel.
CULTOUR is inviting worldwide hosted buyers. These buyers must be product development managers of tour operators -wholesalers companies and travel agencies- or executive personnel involved in producing and selling cultural and heritage tour and travel products to one or more worldwide destinations.
